Oil on canvas, 24”x30”x1.5”.
Three double hibiscuses occupy the entire space of this still life. The central part of the composition is represented by the tender cores of these beautiful flowers. Its velvet petals opened so that everyone could enjoy the beauty of the hibiscuses.
No background, no vases – I decided to abandon the usual details, focusing the audience on the texture of hibiscus.Only green leaves dilute the pink – salmon color of the main favorite of personal plots.
This still life is shrouded in a romantic haze, in the creation of which the palette plays an important role. The combination of white and pink shades embodies the idea of purity and love, and gold appears as a contrasting background for these tones. Lush hibiscuses continue the romantic theme.
